| X-Country was my sport when I was in high school. It was fun, yes, actually fun. Running mile after mile and competing in 3 miles races was actually fun and exhilarating.

Now, being the fatty that I am... as Mr Normal so nicely put it,
running isn't really one of my strong points. But still, I try! Today I
ran 5.2 miles with my dad. I didn't give up and I didn't stop until I
felt like my legs were going to fall off (which was at 3 miles). And
even then, it was only speed walking for half a block to catch my
breathe and take a sip of water. Then we ran up the hill called Euclid.
The hard part wasn't really running, but keeping my mind focused to
finish off what I started. The road is a series of hills so it's
somewhat strenuous, but I thought I could do it. After finishing and
ending up at Parks Jr High and finishing off walking a mile, it was
somewhat relaxing. Sure, my thighs were killing me and I formed a
blister along the way, but it was worth it to spend some time with my
dad and to prove to myself that 5 miles isn't as daunting at all.
26 miles! Here I come! |

after rain the sun always shines through if it takes rain, let it pour!!!!!
